THE HANDMADE STRING IN GOOD HANDS. YOURS.

What they're saying about the NEON™ Strings

“I bought these for my black Randy Rhodes signature series Flying V. I initially figured they would make great novelty strings for a decent price. Once they finally arrived I put them on and WOW! These are great sounding. Something about the coating or the way they are wound just makes an amazing sound! I had Super Slinks on prior to these strings and it was just time to replace them.

The strings look and feel a bit rough at first and they look like the coating would rub off on your fingers. But i have spent the entire week shredding the heck out of some music and there is no wear or rubbing off in any way. I purchased the yellow and the orange and alternated them every other string and it creates an amazing visual effect when playing. One person commented that it looks like my strings are on fire. I take that as a compliment to my playing but I'm sure most of the credit goes to the strings. I will gladly buy these again when the time comes and recommend them to all my friends. You really have to try them to see how amazing they truly are!”

“I was skeptical about using coated strings, but these are the best strings I’ve ever played on. I play in the metal band Gaia and I have to say my tone has never popped like with these strings, they sound amazing whether you’re playing along to BB King or between the buried and me and although this may sound like a stretch, they even sound better than the DR Dimebag strings, and what really got me was the way they felt, they are the most comfortable thing I’ve ever played with. Get these. You'll never go back.”

After about 5 minutes of playing on the demo bass, my first question was how long the strings had been on the guitar. I was told almost two months. The reason I asked this was because the strings had the same crisp punch and ring of a fresh-from-the-box Sunbeams that made me fall in love with DR in the first place.

In regards to tonal quality, I doubt anyone would ever be able to pick out the difference between coated, colored and uncoated strings. The colored and coated strings sound great with phenomenal tone and sustain, and are nowhere near "dead" as some would think.

I'd also like to call out the tactility of the strings. These strings are not rubbery or gummy in any way. They feel crisp and rigid, in the best ways, just as a regular set of strings.

Visually the new neon strings are stunning. They jump out and grab your attention in literally any lighting. From outdoors in the sun, under shop lights, regular indoor to stage and blacklight lighting, they are bright, vibrant and consistent in color.

All in all I was insanely impressed. DR has achieved something really amazing here. My hat is off to them and the brains behind this endeavor.”

“I've had the new neon strings on my guitar for a little over a week and have been playing them everyday. They haven't even peeled yet! Great string. They sound loud and clear like an uncoated string and have a better feel to them then any string I've ever played IMO.”
