"Finding the right string can be a life-long journey. nAfter trying the Dragon Skin by DR strings (11 gauge), I believe I've finally found what I've been looking for many years. Not only are they comfortable to play, but they are more likely to stay in tune compared to other strings I've tried in the past. Lately, it has inspired me to play my guitar! I highly recommend them!

Alejandro Ataucusi is a guitarist, charango player, educator, composer, and band leader of Afro-Peruvian Jazz band Forbidden Tropics based in New Jersey, US. Born and raised in Peru, Alejandro has been exposed to music from an early age. Alejandro has performed and given lectures at William Paterson University, University of California - Riverside, New York University, and Rutgers University. With Forbidden Tropics, Alejandro has released 2 albums. This group blends Afro-Peruvian rhythms with sophisticated elements of Jazz. A new album will be released in 2026! With Forbidden Tropics, Alejandro has headlined the Middlesex County Jazz Festival and many venues/festivals in New Jersey. With the charango, Alejandro has played at many cultural centers, museums and Universities in the US, and Europe. A solo charango EP is currently in the works.
