Billy Rankin is a full-time professional bassist and live audio engineer based in Texas, performing and mixing approximately 150 weddings, corporate events, concerts, and large-scale ministry productions each year. With a career built on consistency, professionalism, and versatility, he performs across a wide variety of musical styles while delivering high-quality live audio for audiences of all sizes. Throughout his career, Billy has performed with organizations including Jordan Kahn Music Company, Replay Rocks, New Moon, Royal Dukes, Gunpowder Soup, and John Hagee Ministries/Cornerstone Church. His work has taken him to premier venues such as the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, Grand Hyatt San Antonio, The Westin San Antonio North, and the Henry B. González Convention Center, where dependable performance and exceptional tone are essential. As a full-time working bassist, Billy depends on equipment that performs night after night without compromise. DR Hi-Beam 45–105 strings have become an integral part of his sound, providing the clarity, punch, feel, and reliability required to perform confidently in demanding live environments.
