The tone is sparkly, the feel is exceptional, and I’ve never felt so confident that every note is articulate. And also… their neon strings look STUNNING under stage lights! As a professional bassist working across rock, funk, pop, jazz, musical theatre, recording sessions, and even circus, I need reliable and versatile strings that consistently meet the needs of every bass mission. DR Strings allow me to play my best under all circumstances, and I proudly recommend them to any bassist looking for vibrant tone, a smooth-as-butter feel, and versatility."

BIO
Cat Hargraves is an Australian funk-rock bassist, aerial performer and multidisciplinary artist pushing the boundaries of what the bass guitar can do. A professional musician from Sydney, Australia, Cat began playing bass at the age of 10 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music, building a career across live performance, musical theatre, touring, recording, teaching and circus. Alongside her musical career, she has trained over 15 years in both aerial circus and artistic gymnastics, bringing together two worlds that rarely share the same stage. Cat is best known for her explosive live performances, blending vibrant bass playing with gravity-defying aerial stunts to create a style of performance that is as physical as it is musical. Whether playing bass from aerial hoop or straps, Cat treats the bass guitar as more than a source of sound — it becomes part of the choreography, its own character on stage. Her career highlights include performing original music at Governors Ball Music Festival 2024 in New York City with her international band, 'Six Continents', and directing and starring in the world’s first aerial bass production for the Sydney Fringe Festival 2025. Her performance career has taken her across Australia, New York, London and Canada. Cat proudly represents Australia in 'Six Continents', an international collaboration band founded by the non-profit organizations Brooklyn Music Lab and Kids Rock for Kids. She’s passionate about working with artists from all over the world and has a particular interest in the unique perspective that each individual brings to the creation of live performance. Whether she’s touring the world, playing in the theatre pit, recording in the studio, or suspended above an audience, Cat is passionate about creating performances that challenge expectations and show just how far the bass guitar can go.
