Chris Stones is a Scottish bassist who has played professionally across a range of genres since the 90s. With influences as diverse as Steve Harris and Norman Watt-Roy, his style has been described as impactive and powerful with a flair for live performance. With a background in music media and management, he continues to mentor aspiring artists when not performing.nnChris is the bassist with Scottish legends Big Country and has performed globally with several tours under his belt. The band have recently recorded a new album but his first love is the stage and he can often be found shouting at venue staircases or questioning why he continues to wear tight jeans in his 50s.nnA self-confessed gear-head, Chris is always hunting for the perfect tone to compliment his fresh approach to Big Country’s 80’s sound. DR Hi-Beam strings are his go-to for a bright punchy sound that cuts through the mix both on stage and in the studio.
