BIO
Ernesto Martín is a Spanish bassist, producer, educator and content creator with more than 25 years of experience teaching electric bass. He is the founder of DEBajoEléctrico, one of the leading Spanish-language online platforms dedicated to electric bass education, through which thousands of bass players from around the world have studied. As a musician, Ernesto has developed a versatile approach to the instrument, with a particular focus on flamenco fusion, jazz, funk and contemporary music. He works as bassist and producer with flamenco artist Saray Muñoz, combining the language of flamenco with the possibilities of the electric bass. His work in flamenco also led him to create an extensive Flamenco Bass course featuring legendary bassist Carles Benavent. Available in both Spanish and English, the course explores flamenco language, technique, harmony and its application to the electric bass, bringing this unique approach to bass players internationally. Ernesto is also an active educator and content creator on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. His DEBajoEléctrico YouTube channel has grown to more than 163,000 subscribers, forming part of a large international community of bass players who follow his educational content. His approach combines technique, harmony and musicality with a practical philosophy: helping bass players understand the instrument and apply that knowledge directly to real music.
