FAT-BEAMS™ bass strings blend the finest American stainless-steel wrap wire on a round core but are made with a slower and high compression winding process to produce more pronounced mids, bright highs and a super-fat bottom. They produce an overall fuller sound with a solid punch when it’s needed.

Helppi Smith is a Dominican bassist, producer, arranger, and touring musician known for his versatility across Pop, R&B, Gospel, Funk, and Latin music. Based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Helppi has performed and toured internationally throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, working with artists including Chichi Peralta, Shadow Blow, Letón Pé, Denicher Pol, Gabriel Pagán, Covi Quintana, Aura Estrella, and others. In addition to his work as a bassist, Helppi serves as a music director and producer, bringing his experience both on stage and in the studio to a wide variety of musical projects. His playing is characterized by a clean, defined tone, strong groove, and an approach focused on serving the music. Helppi is a member of The Recording Academy and The Latin Recording Academy and continues to develop his career through touring, recording, production, and music-related content.
