A Japanese rock band, TUBE debuted on June 1, 1985. In honor of their debut date, the U.S. state of Hawaii has established June 1 as "TUBE DAY" since 2000. When it was established, they were the first Asians to perform in Hawaii at Aloha Stadium to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut. Since then, TUBE has held events (such as mini-lives) on the same day or the weekend of the day year. On June 3, 2005, TUBE held an outdoor concert at Fort DeRussy, a U.S. Army reservation in Waikiki.
