Marcelo Maccagnan is a Brazilian-born bassist, composer, and bandleader currently anchored in New York City. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he combines jazz, progressive rock, Brazilian rhythms, and ambient post-rock in a sound that’s both emotive and forward-looking. As a creator, Marcelo has cultivated a vibrant online community—engaging followers with bass performances, creative insights, and behind-the-scenes moments across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. His digital presence not only amplifies his performances but also deepens his connection to a global audience.nnMarcelo co-hosts the Spontaneous Jam Session in Brooklyn and has released a live album from that series. His solo catalog spans instrumental jazz albums, progressive projects, and recent vocal-driven post-rock ambient releases—marking a clear evolution in his musical direction.nnMarcelo’s collaborative experience is wide-ranging.
