NAT DOUGLAS - ASLEEP AT THE HELM
"DR Strings consistently deliver the tone and reliability I need both live and in the studio. As a bassist playing in a high-energy metalcore band, I need strings that can handle aggressive playing while still maintaining clarity and punch. DR nails that balance perfectly. I primarily use the Hi-Beams and what stands out most is the feel and vibe. They stay bright without becoming harsh, and they hold their tuning and tone far longer than other strings I’ve used, which is essential when you’re rehearsing, recording, and performing regularly. What I love most about DR Strings is that they feel consistent night after night. I know exactly what I’m getting, a solid low end, clear articulation, and a tone that cuts through the mix without losing weight. They’ve become a core part of my sound."

BIO
Nat's playing is built around a tight, driven low end something that can hold weight under heavy guitars but still cut through with clarity. Whether it’s on stage or in the studio, He focuses on consistency, energy, and locking in the foundation of the band’s sound. What he loves most about being in a band is the connection; the shared energy on stage, the reaction from a crowd, and creating something real with people that hits others the same way. It’s also the opportunity to travel, meet new people, and take their music to different places playing their songs to new audiences and seeing that genuine reaction firsthand. For him, it’s about building something that lasts, staying consistent, and making every show count.
