Born and raised in the small town of Heʻeia on the island of Oʻahu, Nicholas Kealiʻi Lum is a singer-songwriter and bassist of the multi-award-winning traditional Hawaiian music group, “Keauhou.” nnComing from a musical family, Nicholas was constantly immersed in music of all genres and began playing Hawaiian music professionally in Waikīkī at the age of 12. After high school, Nicholas attended the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where he attained two Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Music and Hawaiian as well as a Master’s Degree in Hawaiian. He is currently a doctoral student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo.
