"For my first bass guitar, my parents bought me a pack of neon DR strings that I kept on that bass for probably 5 years straight—of course, at the time, I had no idea what I was doing and probably would've benefited from fresh strings—but nonetheless, they never failed me. I've tried other strings, but they don't bring the punchiness and attack of the DR strings. They sound super rad. But more importantly, they look super rad—the neon colored DR strings represent the greatest decade of all time—the 1980s—in which I'm currently living!"
